ADOPTED |
short description
Nanouk is brave and likes to explore everything new. She loves to cuddle alone with a human.
If it's up to her, her day would only be cuddling, eating, cuddling, a walk, more cuddling, playing and lazing in the sun.
special features / medical informations
Currently she is not yet neutered, as she is still growing. But she will get neutered before her adoption.
full description
Nanouk is sister to Nala and they were both found abandoned together in a local village. Whilst initially a bit wary of people, they have grown into perfect Mastin pups that are looking for their Forever Home (together or separately).
They currently sleep in the fosterers’ workshop where there is a choice of sleeping arrangements, and they are completely clean at night.
They are not greedy with their food, they can eat well side by side. There is no resource guarding with food or toys although a play-fight will develop if they both want the same toy.
Nala and Nanouk currently (since Christmas) live with the fosterers’ four other dogs of different ages and sizes - they are curious but never intrusive. Nala & Nanouk will ask the older dogs to play with them but respectfully back-off if the answer is ‘no’!
With new people they are initially curious although a little shy, but then quickly get used to the presence of people. They let us know when someone approaches the property, but also quickly stop barking when told.
They have regular lead-walks and are improving all of the time. They are very people-oriented and do not run away when off-lead. If they do lose sight of their fosterers, they usually come very quickly when called. She needs a moderate amount of exercise but would prefer several short walks rather than one very long walk.
Nanouk currently weights around 37,5kg and is likely to be around 40kg when adult so will need a house with space and preferably a large garden or outside space.
If you think you may be able to offer Nanouk, or as well her Sister Nala, a home and have any questions, please ask us and we will get back to you..
