Merle

Merle is a active, curious medium-sized dog who has been at ASAP since 8th March 2024. Previously she lived on the street. There she got on well with all dogs and also with cats. She was a little undernourished, but has since gained weight. Merle was initially very reserved and cautious with people at first contact, now she shows much more trust and seeks contact. In the meantime, she also calls for caresses. She has mastered the visit to the vet in the city very well. She doesn’t like to drive, but she does it very well anyway. Merle currently lives with other dogs in the house and is house trained. She has a box in which she has room for herself and in which she also sleeps overnight. She sleeps through the night and is quiet in her box. During the day she is also outside, where she can run and play with the other dogs. In the meantime, she is more confident in contact with the other dogs. She behaves well on the walks with the other 6 dogs in her foster home and walks well on a leash. Since Merle has a lot of energy, she enjoys it very much when she can walk without a leash from time to time. She seems to have a pronounced „snose“ and likes to follow every trail. However, she has no interest in the fenced chickens and peacocks in her foster home. Currently, Merle is injected twice a day due to her treatment of her leishmaniasis values. Here she is surprisingly calm. Fortunately, this does not affect their already built-up trust in people.
