special features / medical informations
Negative to the 7 most common Mediterranean Diseases and negative
to Brucella Canis when last tested at 24/12/24.
(this is important if he were to be adopted in the UK)
He has part of his back leg missing from an accident some time ago.
This is healed and does not stop him moving around! He wears a boot to protect his leg.
full description
Jake was found abandoned in a small village near Granada. He was very thin and has part of his
back leg missing. His leg is well healed now and requires no further treatment according to the
vet. He does have to wear a protective boot when out and about but accepts that well.
Jake is living in foster care with the 2 resident small dogs and gets on well with them being very
playful. Podencos are energetic breeds who love exercise and mental stimulation such as agility
training. Jake is a very relaxed boy and will sleep after his exercise. He has also lived with cats for
a short term foster and got on well with them sharing a bed with one of them.
He is learning basic commands and is walking well on a lead but does get excitable when with the
other 2 dogs. Recall in a confined area is progressing.
