short description
Duña is a young, playful female Pastor Ganadero (Australian cattle dog) who was rescued from the street in April 2025. She has been living with me in foster care for five weeks now. Duña is sweet, confident, and full of energy. She’s looking for an active home that can match her curiosity and playful spirit. She’s social, loves people and other dogs, and brings a lot of joy and spark to everyday life.

What She’s Like
Duña is outgoing and brave in new situations. She’s eager to explore, meet new friends, and learn. That said, she has a lot of energy—both physically and mentally—so she needs a home that can offer her plenty of stimulation throughout the day.
Training & Leash Skills
Duña is very smart and learns quickly. In just a few weeks, she’s been introduced to sit, down, stay, spin, drop it, and leave it. She hasn’t mastered everything yet, especially in distracting environments, but she’s trying hard and enjoys learning—especially when food is involved. She’s also learning to play fetch, which is a good way to help her burn off energy.
Leash walking is a work in progress. In quiet areas, she does well. But she can get overexcited when passing people, dogs, cats, or food on the ground. She’s been working on impulse control and is improving with consistent training.
At Home
Duña is fully house trained, and so far has had no accidents—even overnight. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night and enjoys it as her nap spot during the day. She usually settles quickly, especially when she gets her favorite chew.
That said, she still needs help learning how to behave inside the house when she’s awake and active. A playpen is strongly recommended for now. With time, guidance, and the right enrichment, she’ll continue to improve quickly.
A secure garden is a must for her. She loves being outside, watching the world go by or relaxing in the sun, but she needs more than a quick backyard potty break. For her well-being, she’ll need either a family that’s able to give her regular, structured exercise and training time, or a home with other dogs and a larger outdoor space to keep her engaged.
The Right Match for Duña
Duña isn’t the best fit for a household with small children, as her play style is still a bit rough and energetic.
She’ll thrive in a home that:
• Can offer regular training, play, and structured time
• Has a secure and spacious garden
• Possibly includes other dogs to help her stay entertained
With patience, structure, and care, Duña will grow into a fantastic companion—loyal, fun, and full of love.
