full description
Coco is a young podenco who has been with ASAP since 30th April 2025. She was found in a hamlet looking for food. She was scared and very undernourished. Initially she was fed and provided a shelter outside in a safe place, but now she is in foster home and lives with 3 other dogs.
She sleeps nights in a solid doghouse in the family’s garden, but the rest of the time has full access to all areas of the house. She is a good sleeper and very clean, but as she doesn’t sleep inside, it is not known whether she is house-trained. Coco gets along well with the other dogs but is submissive. She seeks out playtime and company, however, is respectful to the older dogs and cautious at times.
She walks naturally well on the leash but gets a bit nervous and might pull. As she’s in the same area where she was roaming free before, she is allowed to run off the leash once a day in the olive groves. Her recall is not yet solid, but she always comes back. Coco has tremendous energy and seems to need this daily run.
Coco was good in the car and extremely well-behaved at the first vet visit. She will start her vaccinations the week commencing 12th May 2025.
