Bobbi

ASAP volunteers rescued Bobbi from a garage in a village, where she had been hiding and searching for food. Now she is safe in a kennel near Alhama de Granada — but safe didn’t initially feel safe to Bobbi. She spent most of her time hiding in her doghouse, frightened by the world around her. But slowly, patiently, our volunteers have started to get through to her. She now accepts treats from their hands; she is showing that she enjoys being stroked and has started to wag her tail when she sees them. She is happy to walk on the lead and explore the kennels beyond her own enclosure. As a result of this she has met other dogs at a distance and has shown curiosity and no aggression. These are tiny steps but for Bobbi they are HUGE! She now needs someone to give her the time and patience to take those next steps. We're looking for a special foster home, preferably for a minimum of 2–3 months, ideally with a small, securely fenced garden where Bobbi can safely explore while staying close to her people. A shorter term foster could still have a positive impact on Bobbi’s confidence and progress. She doesn't need someone to “fix” her. She needs someone who will sit quietly beside her. Someone who won't give up when she's scared. Someone who will show her, day by day, that humans can be kind. ASAP will provide full support and cover Bobbi's food and veterinary costs.
